Research project 2 spring 14

Using this five year programme of funding, our team of primary care cancer researchers are investigating ways of developing and implementing new and improved cancer diagnostic tests into GP surgeries.

Our work will assess the accuracy, safety, cost effectiveness and suitability of a range of diagnostic methods and tools, for both patients and doctors, to lower diagnostic waiting times and reducing the burden of referrals.

As part of our programme of capacity building, we have delivered the first annual International School for Cancer Detection Research in Primary Care. This aims to build a community of clinicians and scientists from around the world to deliver trailblazing progress in diagnostic research for primary care.

By investing in future experts in this field, it will allow us to continue searching for the best way to diagnose cancer patients for many years to come.Volume 14, Number 2: Spring PDF: HTML: Volume 14, Number 1: Fall PDF: HTML: Volume 13, Number 2: Spring PDF: HTML: Volume 13, Number 1: Fall PDF: Recent Research.
